| This
is an innovative model of creating self employment
Oppurtunities to unemployed graduates in rural
areas, particularly in Agri-Enterprises where
an entrepreneur will be given all such skills
in owning and running business to sell all
brands of fertilizers and certain pesticides,
Seeds and farm implements at Government fixed
rates. So far 308 unemployed graduates have
already commenced their business in 22 Districts
to start with, and will be extended
to other Mandals also.
These
ARSKs are allotted to unemployed graduates with
preference given to those holding a degree in
Agricultural Science and hailing from rural
areas. The successful candidates have to place
an initial security deposit of Rs. 10,000 and
Trade deposit for Rs. 3.00 Lacs , So that Rs. 3 Lakhs worth of products will be arranged.
These
unemployed graduate youths are likely to get
a monthly net return of Rs.7000/- to 10,000/-
from the buisiness called "AGRO RYTHU SEVA
KENDRAS (ARSK)" The business model developed
with a mix of Fertilizer, Pesticides, Bio-fertilizers/Bio-Pesticides
and Farm Implements sales to farmers in such
a way they are not only the owners of the business
but also the service providers to the farming community.
The
business of Fertilizer supplies at Government price in ARSKs commenced from Mid
August'2005 and upto 31-03-06 40,000 M.T of
Fertilizers were distributed through the centres
valuing Rs. 30 crores.
Under
this about 1 Lakh farmers were directly benefited
as they could get fertilizers at Govt. fixed
price.
